“Πάντα Ρχει (everything flows).”

~ Heraclitus, Fragments

The great philosopher Heraclitus said that we can never step in the same river twice because fresh waters are ever flowing upon us. Every day we have the choice to be like the river, choosing to flow by making new decisions, carving new pathways, and discovering new joys.

“First say to yourself what you would be; and then do what you have to do.”

~Epictetus, The Enchiridion

“Be grateful for whoever comes, because each has been sent as a guide from beyond.”

~Rumi, Guest House

K. Pearson Bradley is an Amazon bestselling author of historical fiction who loves to read adventure books, especially those set in exotic or enchanting locations. Her first novel, Tears of Chios, is set among the magical skinos groves on the Greek island of Chios, situated in the North Aegean Sea. Her second novel, Scions of Smyrna, follows her protagonist across the Strait of Chios to the Gulf of Smyrna and the sparkling, crescent-shaped harbor in Western Turkey - the crossroads of the Silk Road trade between East and West.

In addition to her historical fiction set in Greece and Turkey, she is an avid Shakespeare enthusiast, believing that the bard’s humor, authenticity, love of nature, understanding of relationships, egalitarian political perspective, humanity, and playful magic with words are as relevant to the modern world as they were to its original Elizabethan audience.

Ms. Bradley has been a pretzel maker, foreign language teacher, choir director, musician, songwriter, librarian, food server, farm worker, Duke cheerleader, genetics researcher, employee benefits lawyer, and legal treatise editor. Her favorite vocation, by far, however, is being a writer.
